Preliminary charges are in the process of being filed against William E. Baugh, 45, Terre Haute.

Brazil City Police Captain Terry Harrison confirmed to The Brazil Times that preliminary charges are in the process of being filed against William E. Baugh, 45, Terre Haute. Officials believe Baugh is one of two suspects using a 4-door bronze-colored vehicle to follow a local elderly lady as she went shopping around town and then robbed her of her groceries and purse when she arrived home around 2 p.m.
Currently incarcerated at the Vigo County Jail, Baugh was taken into custody Monday evening after a high-speed pursuit with law enforcement that started in Paris, Ill., and ended in West Terre Haute. Vigo County Jail officials confirmed Baugh is currently charged with two preliminary counts of residential entry and one count each of criminal mischief, resisting law enforcement, driving while never licensed and a parole violation. There is also a court-ordered arrest warrant issued from Clark County Illinois. Although facing two $50,000 cash bonds, officials said Baugh would not be released due to the hold issued by Clark County Illinois. Harrison confirmed an arrest warrant was being issued for a second unidentified suspect in the case.
